PIERCE BROSNAN VERY EXCITED ABOUT WORKING WITH STAR MERYL STREEP

Dream Movie Role For Pierce Brosnan


Pierce Brosnan is thrilled to be working with Meryl Streep.The former Bond actor is due to start shooting a film adaptation of the hit ABBA West End musical 'Mamma Mia' with the US actress later this year and he can't wait. He is quoted by Britain's Daily Express newspaper as saying: "I'm more excited about this project than anything I have done in some time. The opportunity to work with Meryl Streep is amazing."According to friends, Brosnan is also looking forward to show casing his relatively unknown singing talent. One friend said: "Earlier on in his career, Pierce actually had a quite good singing voice and performed on stage."He also sang in a film called 'Evelyn' a few years back, so he isn't going to have to need major vocal training for the part. The critics could be in for quite a surprise when they hear him."The movie focuses on a bride-to-be and her rebellious mother, played by Streep, who refuses to disclose the identity of her father. Brosnan is to play one of three men the bride has found who could be her possible father.

007'S DANIEL CRAIG SET TO PLAY SATAN

Daniel Craig is set to play the devil.The James Bond star has reportedly signed up for the role of Satan in 'I,Lucifer' which focuses on the fallen angel's last attempt at redemption. A source said: "The role really appealed to Daniel, who loves artistic challenges. He doesn't want to be typecast just as an action hero after the success of 'Casino Royale'."Craig will start shooting the $150 million film between his next project 'His Dark Materials' and his second outing as 007, 'Bond 22'.The movie is based on a best-selling novel by Glen Duncan, which in turn was inspired by John Milton's epic 17th century poem 'Paradise Lost'.The poem tells the story of Lucifer's revenge for being banished to hell for betraying God.'I, Lucifer' sees the fallen angel being given one month to redeem himself by attempting to live as a saintly human. However, Satan uses his new human body to commit as many sins as he can.

SIENNA MILLER NEW 'JAMES BOND GIRL'

Sienna Miller is being lined up as the next Bond girl.The 'Factory Girl' actress is reportedly set to team up with former lover Daniel Craig in the next 007 adventure 'Bond 22'. A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper : "Sienna is the hottest young actress around and would be the perfect Bond girl. She's beautiful,talented, British and a real style icon."Sienna recently confessed she was thrilled about following former Bond beauties like Ursula Andress, Halle Berry and Eva Green. She said: "How could anyone say no to James Bond?"Sienna and Daniel - who made his debut as the suave spy in 'Casino Royale' -had a brief affair in 2005, after starring in gangster thriller 'Layer Cake'. Bond producers believe the couple's history could make for some sizzling sex scenes.The source added: "Add the red-hot chemistry with Daniel and Sienna and you have all the makings of the best Bond ever."Daniel apparently first tried to persuade Sienna - who used to date his actor friend Jude Law - to star in 'Casino Royale', but she turned down his approach. Sienna joked: "I don't think Daniel has time to be my agent at the moment."

JAMES BOND GIRL EVA GREEN UP FOR AWARD

Bond girl Eva Green has been nominated for The Orange Rising Star Award at this year's BAFTAs.The 26-year-old French actress is up for the accolade - which honors emerging young acting talent and is presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) - for her performance as alluring double agent Vesper Lynd in 'Casino Royal'. Green is up against four other international actors who have also"demonstrated exceptional talent and have begun to capture the imagination of the public as a star in the making".The other nominees are 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' star Ben Whishaw, Emily Blunt, who appeared in 'The Devil Wears Prada', Cillian Murphy, who starred in 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley' and 'Batman Begins' and 'Miami Vice' actress Naomie Harris.The short list was picked by a jury of industry figures including 'Crash'actress Thandie Newton, Anthony Minghella and last year's rising star winner James McAvoy.The winner will be decided by the British public and will be announced at The Orange British Academy Film Awards on February 11. David Parfitt, Chairman of the BAFTA Film Committee, said: "As the only audience award, it certainly raises the profile of young actors and actresses within our industry."Promoting and supporting the next generation of talent is essential and this is why it's important to have prizes in place such as The Orange Rising Star Award."Votes can be cast via the Orange website www.orange.co.uk/bafta or by text message.
